Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25, 1970) is an American actress best known for portraying detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter as well on NBC's Providence drama and The Resident's medicine drama The Resident. Her role was praised by critics in her portrayal of Eleni Anderson Cooper in her debut television appearance on CBS soap show Guiding Light. The actress has also appeared on 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Lightning Thief and Snitch. According to reports, she is working with Vlas & Charley Parlapanides who co-wrote Immortals for the basis to Elisabeth Kubler Ross' autobiography The Wheel of Life. She is also filming for the upcoming show Gods & Heroes.
