Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to achieve a score of 10 in competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who was later Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci aged six. The first time she competed was at the national junior championships which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci was crowned champion. In 1972, at the communist nations' meet for junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champ. In her very first competition in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals as well with one silver. She was the first woman ever to successfully perform the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the entertainment industry began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional as an entertainer when she was a teenager. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows named Ice Capades. The shows featured the ice skating of which was accompanied by theatrical music.
