Eve was born in London England the daughter of the actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Jack as well as George are her two brothers. Her parents are of Indo-British descent with British origin Anthony Mitra and an Irish mother Nora Downey. English actor Guyan Mitra is a mother to an older as well as a younger sibling. Jason Mitra was her father. Her younger sister is a well-known travel journalist, and her work was featured on Lonely Planet.
